As we traveled up the Queensland coast of eastern Australia, we spent two days and a night at Lady Elliot Island. Laney wrote an account of our visit at – http://nosimplehighwayblog.com/2012/11/26/lady-elliot-island/ This tiny island is the nesting site for hundreds of thousands of birds and the southern entry point to the Great Barrier Reef. It has an interesting history and provides spectacular SCUBA diving. Here are some photos from our visit there.
